This is the 1/5th Scale XRC Petrol car from XRC Racing, runs on unleaded petrol and absolutely superb. In the past, rc cars which ran on actual petrol have been pretty expensive, setting you back over £700. They were thought of as a very specialist type of model, also due to the equipment which came with the car. This has now changed due to XRC pricing this remote controlled car and a very reasonable price.
The price drop on these petrol rc cars is due to two reasons. The first is that most of the parts and engine and are manufactured in the same factory whereas many other companies ship them in from abroad or elsewhere in the same country. This puts the price of the parts up and also time consuming so XRC make them themselves.
The second reason being that sales have increased due to the lower price, meaning the production can take place for larger quantities which again saves money on components and transportation.
Many nitro remote control cars can’t run on a mix of petrol and 2 stroke oil, but this XRC Car can. It is normal unleaded petrol that It runs on which as you know is available from any petrol station. This means they are much more easily to fuel and also cheaper compared to nitro cars. To mix the fuel, you can just use the bottle which is included. A marker is provided to give guidance, then you just fill it up with the 2 stroke oil once the petrol is up to the first marker. 2 Stroke oil can be purchased for most petrol stations.
This XRC Petrol RC Car includes everything you need to get going. In the pack you will find, a special 1:5 scale steering controls, battery pack and charger, high capacity rechargeable battery pack which comes with a UK charger and also a tool kit so giving you the right kit for those who wish to maintain their own cars.
The XRC Car can be purchased in blue or red and comes with stickers so you can customise the car yourself.
